JD Bluesville was born out of a passion for the guitar. After years of playing the guitar and developing a love for the instrument, I first started building custom electric guitars 10 years ago in my home shop. After years of crafting copies of established models I decided to venture into creating my own. Talking with countless players about what they wanted in their perfect guitar and spending many hours at the design board the JD Bluesville models were born. Teaming up with John Schappell, who shares my love for finely crafted instruments and a desire to create, we began JD Bluesville with the plan of creating custom tailored guitars for each customer.

Using only the finest components and crafting each instrument by hand, JD Bluesville offers you, the player, the chance to help design the electric guitar you've always wanted but couldn't find! Each guitar is designed after extensive consultation with the customer, focusing on all the details that make up the instrument. From body and neck woods to all the trim and accessories your guitar is a “one-off” instrument. No two are the same.
